2009 Kentucky India Leadership Trade Mission:

The purpose of this trip is to increase ties and open doors for Kentucky companies to do more business with to India and attract Indian investment to the Commonwealth. During this trip, you will have the opportunity to explore India’s growth through meetings with government and business leaders, as well as through participation in a variety of cultural activities. Our trip is scheduled in conjunction with the ITM (Innovative Technologies for Manufacturing) Expo 2009, an international B2B exhibition and conference. This event will enable our delegates to have successful one-on-one meetings with industry representatives from all regions of India.
ITM is India’s largest international trade show; it focuses on Agro & Food Processing, Auto Components/Accessories, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, and Energy/ Renewable Energy and the Environment.
MISSION LOCATIONS
New Delhi, the capital of India, has the largest commercial and financial centers. Key service industries include information technology, telecommunications, hotels, banking, media and tourism.
Mumbai, the cultural and economic hub of India, is the second most populous city in the world. It generates 5% of India’s GDP and lays claim to India’s largest port, processing over 40% of ocean cargo.
Ahmedabad is best known for its thriving textile and pharmaceutical industries.
