KWTC News :

India trade mission to continue as planned

india

Despite the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai, the Kentucky World Trade Center will continue its plans for a trade mission to India in late February 2009. "What happened in India was a tragedy, but we cannot yield to terrorism," said Ms. Ying Juan Rogers, KWTC Vice President. "We are committed more than ever to the fostering of commercial ties between Kentucky and India. Business must go on."

Trade mission participants will visit Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bangalore, and will have the opportunity to explore India’s growth through meetings with government and business leaders. The mission is scheduled in conjunction with the ITM (Innovative Technologies for Manufacturing) Expo 2009, an international B2B exhibition and conference that will enable delegates to meet one-on-one with industry representatives from all regions of India. Governor Martha Layne Collins, KWTC Chair, is currently scheduled to lead the trip.

The registration deadline has been extended to December 31. For more information, please contact Ying Juan Rogers at 859-258-3139.
