AAF International, maker of American Air Filter products, announced Wednesday that it has become an Energy Star partner.
Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, designed to improve energy and financial performance of businesses, help them sell Energy Star labeled products to meet demand for environmentally friendly goods and build Energy Star qualified homes that save homeowners 30 percent on their energy bills annually.
The partnership with Energy Star exemplifies AAF's goal to protect the environment in every aspect of its business.
"In recognition of this goal, we are delighted to partner with Energy Star, and look forward to playing our part in fully supporting its mission," AAF vice president of global marketing Brian Thompson said in a news release.
Louisville-based AAF has more than 2,600 employees and 31 manufacturing plants worldwide.
